GUEST BLOGGER: Steffy from Steffy’s Pros and Cons

Thursday, June 6th, 2013

Steffy’s Pros and Cons is my personal style/lifestyle blog where I share the pretty little things in life that make me happy. These mostly consist of my dog, Claude, my boyfriend, Matt, vintage finds, lots of pastels (cupcakes too!), and my endless amount of shoes.

In this mixture, I of course included my Sam Edelman Putnam bootie, which is the perfect summer to fall to winter shoe! It is so adorable paired with a skirt in the summer heat, but also great to wear with skinnies on a brisk day. I adore the special detailing on the sides, and love the pop of red in the design. I’ve worked 12-hour days on my feet in them, and also worn them out to date night. They’re versatile in every way!

In this post I shared a look I wore to work. I am a visual merchandiser, and constantly on my feet. These Putnam‘s were perfect with my casual leggings and a chambray shirt on top. The tribal-chic detailing was the special piece that added a unique touch to my outfit.

Xo, Steffy

GUEST BLOGGER: Colby from Moeh Fashion

Thursday, May 2nd, 2013

Moeh Fashion is a personal style blog that documents my fashion, photography, collaborations and inspiration. I started Moeh Fashion as an ongoing portfolio, to keep a record of my projects and fashion sense. It took only a couple of posts to realize how much I enjoyed blogging and since then it’s become my biggest project of all. I currently reside in Long Island, but you can find me running around New York City attending Fashion Institute and working in the garment district!

These sandals are my new favorite shoes for this upcoming spring and summer. With the vast amount of running around that I do, I need something comfortable and I don’t particularly like flats. The ‘Trina‘ pretty much solved my problem by being super cute and having the perfect heel height. I also love the neutral and metallic contrast between the shoe and heel. Gold looks amazing on suntanned skin, which is one of the reasons I love it for the spring and summer months. Nude is also one of my favorite colors for these seasons. There is something simple yet sexy about it that works.

In this post I wore the ‘Trina‘ sandal more casually as I was on the streets of Santa Monica. A light blue button down, leather shorts, and jean jacket was my daytime simple, yet down to earth, look.

The Trina‘ did a great job of tying together the outfit and made my day a comfortable yet stylish one. Thank you Sam Edelman for being so awesome!

Colby Milano of Moeh Fashion is definitely one blogger to watch out for! Growing up right outside NYC with three older sisters, she fell in love with fashion at a very young age. About two years ago, this FIT student (who also works part-time) decided to create her own online portfolio that’s morphed into a showcase of her sartorial successes. Her style is edgy-chic, sexy, and downright cool. Check out her blog, Moeh Fashion, to see how this hardworking fashionista is making her mark in NYC.

GUEST BLOGGER: Jess FROM Mint The Blog

Thursday, April 11th, 2013

I’m back… Jess here from Mint The Blog. So happy to be guest blogging for Sam Edelman! This time around we’re talking about the new loves of my life: the Marina - these babies were my go to shoe during LA Fashion Week! The heart shaped detail on the peep toe is super flattering and so classic. The ankle strap is delicate and pretty and the subtle pop of gold fleck detail on the heel is right up my alley as I am a total gold girl; it adds that perfect amount of rock n’ roll!

I wore the Marina‘s with leather pants and a camouflage tank to juxtapose the sophistication of the shoe. I love to mix and match pieces that you wouldn’t normally see together, and the tough look of the camo against the oh-so-feminine vibe of the Marina is my favorite part of this ensemble.

Although, I usually try to not to go overboard with matching, I felt this gold satchel complemented perfectly. An arrowhead necklace and black sunnies with gold detail (more gold, more gold!) added the finishing touches. Throw on a black blazer and this ensemble could easily go from day to night, shopping to concert!

The very versatile Marina’s come in some fantastic shades; the flirty and feminine blush tone, the fiery flamingo and the fresh turquoise. Sorry, couldn’t think of a “T” word for the last one! Tranquil! Done. Well, these black Marina’s have been on such heavy rotation I might just have to get one of each color!   Happy Spring!

Thursday, March 14th, 2013

The Golden Girls, of Golden White Décor are true Sam Edelman shoe lovers! Whether in need of elegant heels, street style flats, or edgy leather boots- Sam has a shoe for every outfit and any occasion. Comfortable, fashionable, fun, each amazing style is easy to wear and so versatile! One of our favorites is the Sebastian. With a mix of luxe materials and feminine detailing, this fashion-forward approach to the classic boat shoe goes great with everything from skinny jeans to a flirty Spring dress.

Check out how we paired the Sebastian and more of our favorite Sam Edelman shoes into Spring ready looks that represent our sunny Cali-girl styles!

XX, The Golden Girls

Lauren in the Sebastian:
As casual as a slip on shoe can be, the Sebastian is far from the standard. The unique snakeskin pattern dresses up any look, making it a statement staple.

Lauren in the Louie:
The Louie is a fun fringed bootie, that adds a pop of boho sass to a casual hip look. Pair it with jeans, a skater skirt, a jean jacket, or an animal printed bag and you’re good to hit the town! Funk it up or dress it down, the Louie is a Golden Girl favorite!

GUEST BLOGGER: Jess FROM Mint The Blog

Thursday, February 28th, 2013

Hello! I’m Jess from Mint The Blog! I am a stylist turned designer that loves to share my experiences with styling and my love of fashion through posting my everyday looks on my blog. I am so excited to be guest blogging for Sam Edelman as I have been a fan for many years!

It was love at first sight with these Serena wedges, which could not be more suitable for Spring. Wedges are back in a big way and why not? They add height, and yet are so much more comfortable then a regular high heel- an excellent option for a long day or night on your feet. This nude pair worked perfectly for me, as I am 5’1”. The color blends with my skin tone, giving the illusion that my legs are much longer then they actually are. Oh, the dreams fashion make reality… Thanks for that, Sam Edelman!

The mirror detail on the toe is my favorite part; it makes the shoe so versatile, they could easily go from brunch to a night out. I am also a huge fan of wearing color, so I love a nude shoe since it gives me so many options to play with. I paired these beauties with a plum colored skirt (I am majorly crushing on this plum color at the moment)! Floral will always be a Spring staple so I added this cute floral top that I wore untucked to give a more casual vibe. A subtle detail like that always helps to bring through a bit of personality to a look, and that’s what it’s all about isn’t it? I am looking forward to wearing these Serena‘s all Spring and Summer long!

GUEST BLOGGER: Arielle FROM SomethingnAvy

Thursday, October 25th, 2012

I started my blog, SomethingnAvy, 4 years ago after a break up. It was the perfect outlet for me and the best way for me to express my personal style and myself. My style has evolved over the last couple years. It is so crazy to look back at my blog from the first couple of posts to today. I see the changes that have been made and how I’ve grown into the person I’ve become all based on my fashion style and sense. I used to be very much out there with my style but when I look at my recent posts in the last year, I see how much more subdued I’ve become. I’m a lot more simple and classic but always a pop of edge to my look. For example I’ll wear a worn in white t-shirt with basic black skinny jeans and then massive ACNE blue and turquoise pumps. I will always carry a piece of myself from my past as I move forward.

I love the Luella boot because it really reminded me of Sloane Peterson from Ferris Bueller whom I love. Her style inspires me, so I was excited to get a pair of fringy suede boots to pair with jeans and a t-shirt. Like I mentioned earlier about my style, I think these Luella boots would look fantastic with jeans, a t-shirt and a leather jacket.

I’m a big fan of hunter green. Pairing up an oversize cozy sweater with lace mini shorts and boots is the ideal combination for sexy chic. I invested in the Adele rocker biker boot for every day use. I needed a shoe that I can throw on to walk my dog, run errands in, and not worry about it going with my outfit. These for some reason work with almost everything I own.

Arielle Nachmani of SomethingnAvy is fashion blogger based out of NYC. She is known for amazing ability to create trendsetting and high fashion looks by mixing vintage, inexpensive, and ultra luxury items. Her style is laid-back, cool, and effortlessly chic. Guest Blogger: Danielle from WeWoreWhat

Thursday, October 18th, 2012

Hey guys, it’s Danielle! WeWoreWhat is a street style turned personal style blog, where I provide my followers with a daily lookbook of outfit inspiration. I write about my personal experiences and show my readers how they can combine vintage and new to make the perfect outfit! Fall is absolutely my favorite season because of the layers and BOOTS.

I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of knee high boots for a while now and finally came across a pair that work with so many different looks. These Tucker boots by Sam Edelman are sexy and versatile. I’ve also been lusting of sweatshirts this season – especially when they have a little edge, like these embellished sleeves. When wearing sweatshirts this season I definitely stay away from simple leggings or jeans, and try to mix untraditional pieces. This leather peplum skirt is just too cute.

The Petty boots I wore with this outfit are totally my style and were the perfect shopping buddies. They’re super comfortable and really easy to throw on when you have no clue what shoes to wear. Come on girls, we all know this happens!

I love these new paisley jeans and couldn’t wait to wear them this Fall. I decided to pair them with a camel colored leather jacket (to keep things light) and these western feel Perry boots from Sam Edelman. These boots are such a beautiful color and will look awesome when surrounded by the Fall leaves!

Danielle Bernstein is a New York City native, major league thriftier, and true entrepreneur. In September 2011 she began photographing street style on campus at the Fashion Institute of Technology (where she attends school). The street style blog quickly grew and so did Danielle’s klout throughout the fashion industry. Taking a new direction after Fall New York Fashion Week 11′, WE WORE WHAT began focusing on Danielle’s personal style.

Spotted in the Yelena

Thursday, July 19th, 2012

Since it hit stores this spring, the Yelena has been causing quite the stir. From bloggers to instagrammers to fashion-lovers, ladies just can’t get enough of this color-blocking heel. Just like the Yelena, every outfit we’ve seen is full of amazing color, subtle elegance and trendy accents that demand attention. Here are some of the hottest looks we’ve seen so far.

Choosing a look with an assortment of color is the perfect way to grab the spotlight this season. Stephanie of honey & silk combines material and color with a muted yellow striped dress and the Yelena’s persimmon straps. From her red lipstick, circular-shaped sunnies, and jewel-encrusted bangle, Stephanie has her details down pat, giving her the Cali-girl style that makes us swoon.

Staying on trend is about taking risks, and Liz of Late Afternoon has a style that exudes confidence! Her mix of bright colors, pastels, florals, and materials complements the metallic and neutral leather of the Yelena. Liz’s jewelry, light blue jacket, and large, color-blocked purse put the finishing touches on her radiant ensemble.

Alexandra of Lovely Pepa wears her Yelena heels with a pink polka dotted blouse and distressed jeans. She shows how a casual look can still exhibit an edge of structure. It’s no accident that her light-wash jeans contrast beautifully with the metallic and neutral tones of the Yelena and, her red lips, wayfarers, and silver clutch all add the finishing touches to her chic and fun ensemble.

Guest Blogger: Kristen from Kristen Glam

Thursday, July 12th, 2012

I started Kristen Glam on a whim, encouraged by my friends and coworkers to showcase personal style and fashion inspirations. Kristen Glam is a reflection of my style and serves to hopefully inspire others to express themselves through their own sartorial endeavors.

I love mixing and matching prints and solids, casual and sophisticated pieces, bold accessories with subtle details in the rest of the outfit. With the Felicia snakeskin flat, I thought the gorgeous print and unique texture was just subtle enough that I could pair a tulip floral skirt with it and still pull it off. The cotton crop top instantly adds a casual feel to it.

The loud leopard print of the Petty boots are completely my style – I instantly swoon over anything leopard. The boyfriend jeans are cuffed just right to highlight the boots, which are perfect for the summer and spring.

I saw the chance to use the Taryn heels as – ironically – the statement piece in my outfit. The stark black contrasts with the whites and pastels of the leopard printed skinnys and sleek white button down. The fact that they make my legs look a mile long doesn’t hurt either.

Kristen Glam is a personal style and fashion inspirations blog with intentions of inspiring others to express themselves through their own sartorial endeavors. Curated by Kristen Lam, this blog is a wonderful mash-up of vintage and modern pieces.
