On March 31st, Sam Edelman visited Belk at the Summit for a wonderful event supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama. Fans, friends and shoe lovers in the Birmingham community all poured out in support of the event, which through the combined donations of Sam and Belk, raised over $10,000 for breast cancer research.
“As a male designer in the world of women’s footwear, I come in contact everyday with women whose lives are touched by breast cancer in one way or another,” Sam Edelman shared. “I’m so blessed that women love shoes. I’m so blessed to work with women every day of my life and I’m so blessed to be able to give back.”
At the event, Sam Edelman presented his Spring 2012 collection and spoke about his favorite spring trends: color-blocking and mixing materials. He also shared that rock and roll music inspires many of his embellished and spiked creations.
