Stylish Slips and Summer Sips

Thursday, May 31st, 2012

Whether you’re hosting a party or just lounging by the pool, there’s nothing better than having the perfect pair of shoes on your feet and a delicious drink in your hand. Our Spring-Summer 2012 collection has a variety of styles that, like a great drink, are perfect for any warm weather occasion. Here are some delicious drink recipes that will keep you refreshed and complement your summer footwear all season long.

Feel Tropical

The classic Gigi in a bright tricolor pattern just screams summer! With its tangerine, pink, and turquoise straps, this sandal will transform your outfit’s color palate to be officially summer ready. Complete your tropical look with a deliciously fruity Mango Pineapple smoothie.

Get Your Tan On

Poolside lounging is a key part of a relaxing summer. Make your tanning hours count by wearing the ultra light and comfortable Gracie flip-flop. Available in a variety of fun and bikini-complementing colors, the Gracie will ensure you take it easy in style. We then recommend you take your relaxation to a whole new level by pouring yourself a sweet and refreshing Watermelon Agua Fresca.

Host With the Most!

The key to being a great host is staying on your feet and serving your guests a refreshing cocktail or two! If you’re having a small get together at your beach house this summer, you’re going to want the glamorous yet extra comfortable Gwyneth sandal on your feet and some glasses of Strawberry Iced Tea in your guests’ hands.

Guest Blogger: Denise from SUPERWOWOMG

Thursday, May 24th, 2012

Hi everyone! It’s Denise here from the blog SUPERWOWOMG, a humble little blog all the way from Hong Kong! I’d like to think my style is classic but with an edge. I’m all about the basics: black pants, the perfect breton top, and a trusty classic black purse but I always make sure to add an edge to my outfit by piling on my signature layers of jewelry or letting my blue/turquoise hair stand out.

When it comes to shoes, my three favorite picks from Sam Edelman’s latest Spring/Summer collection fit right into my wardrobe. The pony hair leopard Petty boots are the PERFECT pop to my everyday look and the Beatrix studded cap-toe flats go great with my signature black cuffed pants. Lastly, the neutral beach colored Javi wedges match with everything and are perfect for stomping around the hilly streets of Hong Kong!

Daylighting as a graphic designer, Denise Lai launched her blog SUPERWOWOMG.com as another creative outlet to showcase her love of fashion and style. What started out as just a hobby has blown up to become one of Hong Kong’s favorite blogs.

The Anatomy of a Shoe: the Gibson

Thursday, May 17th, 2012

From its colorful tribal pattern to its embellished accents, the Gibson has the unique and trendy details that make it a surefire summer favorite. We’ve broken down these unique aspects below so you can appreciate the specific elements that give the Gibson its unquestioned versatility and flair:

1. Go Tribal- With a mixture of fun colors and textures, this pattern gives the sandal an exotic look that makes it perfect for a day on the beach. Choose from a natural, red, or blue pattern to best suit your summer style.

2. What a Stud!- Leather straps adorned with a line of delicate, silver studs contrast with the tribal fabric and leather accents, giving the Gibson a unique and edgy upgrade.

3. Snake Charmer- Textured snake leather attachments on either side of the tribal fabric strap gives the Gibson a polished accent. These pieces of leather add to the diverse mix of materials (which happens to be one of Sam’s favorite spring trends)!

4. Bedazzled Toes- What better way to complement your pedicure than with a studded toe ring? Your feet will be looking glamorous and beach-ready with this sassy embellishment.

Now that you know the details, why not discover which color of the Gibson will be in your beach bag this summer?

Thursday, May 10th, 2012

My name is Nerea and I am the creator and editor of the fashion and style blog, Corazón de Maniquí. I am currently living in Madrid but am originally from Ibiza. The key to my personal style success is high heels. I fell in love with Sam Edelman heels when I received a pair of black Lorissas for my birthday. With its studs and sparkle, the Lorissa is one of the most incredible and gorgeous shoes I’ve owned!

I love wearing heels of different shapes and colors. The Novato in aqua, and the Lorissa in truffle are two of my favorites. I feel so elegant and poised when I wear them! The Novato adds a touch of bright color and complements my turquoise blouse, skinny jeans, and blazer. The Lorissa in nude is neutral but with an edge, and looks great with different textures such as my faux fur coat and distressed boyfriend jeans. All three of these heels can transform any outfit and provide the perfect dose of confidence.

Nerea is a student who lives in Madrid and founded the fashion and personal style blog, Corazón de Maniquí. She developed her blog as a way to express her opinions on the latest trends and suggest outfits to her readers for both casual and special occasions.

Fashionable Florals

Thursday, May 3rd, 2012

Now that the warm weather is upon us, it’s time for you to go back into your closet and break out those classic floral dresses, skirts, tops, and shoes that you’ve been missing. Whether you like a subtle pattern or prefer a vivid, bright design, floral-print is a trend that can easily be given your own personal touch of style.

Here are three different ways we like to pair floral prints with our Spring/Summer collection:

Poppy Red

The Odetta in red hot/saddle is a chic, heeled sandal that is perfect for showing off your pedicure. With a red flower pattern, double ankle strap, and gold heel accents, the Odetta is the perfect complement to a structured outfit of neutral colors and bold accessories.

Sunshine Yellow

You can’t have a bad day in the Felicia in sunshine yellow. These bright flats are printed with yellow flowers and polished with a small yellow bow. Wear them with denim, a flowy white top, and sunshine yellow accents for a simple bohemian look.

Accented Flats

Floral pants are a fun and fresh trend that will add some excitement to a blouse or tank. Pair them with the Betty, with its accent hardware, for the perfect casual office look with a fun twist.
