Guest Blogger: Jessica from Bows and Sequins

Hi guys! I’m Jessica from Bows & Sequins. I am a 20-something shopaholic living in Chicago. Bows & Sequins is a personal style blog featuring yours truly. My personal style is put together and well accessorized, but pretty casual. I love mixing girly, glitzy pieces with casual basics (like denim or a button-front shirt) to create a unique look. Don’t get me wrong– I love getting glammed up and am obsessed with high fashion, but most of the time you can find me in a pair of jeans.

I tend to buy shoes that go with everything, such as the Rella in whiskey/au-natural and Gigi in saddle, because I know I will wear them over and over again.

Every so often, I love to purchase a “statement” pair of shoes, like the Warner 2 in ruby red and the Odetta in black/white/pink. These types of shoes are amazing heels that I base an entire outfit around. They are shoes that get noticed! I don’t necessarily wear them all the time, but I love having them in my wardrobe for an instant style pick-me-up.

Sam Visits Belk at the Summit

On March 31st, Sam Edelman visited Belk at the Summit for a wonderful event supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama. Fans, friends and shoe lovers in the Birmingham community all poured out in support of the event, which through the combined donations of Sam and Belk, raised over $10,000 for breast cancer research.

“As a male designer in the world of women’s footwear, I come in contact everyday with women whose lives are touched by breast cancer in one way or another,” Sam Edelman shared. “I’m so blessed that women love shoes. I’m so blessed to work with women every day of my life and I’m so blessed to be able to give back.”

At the event, Sam Edelman presented his Spring 2012 collection and spoke about his favorite spring trends: color-blocking and mixing materials. He also shared that rock and roll music inspires many of his embellished and spiked creations.

The Great Gigi Giveaway

Our summer collection has arrived and we can’t think of any better way to celebrate than by giving away everyone’s favorite sandal, the Gigi. From April 9th to April 13th, we will be picking one lucky winner every day to receive a free pair of the Gigi from our Spring-Summer 2012 collection.

To enter, make sure you are a follower of @SamEdelmanShoes on Twitter and then tweet at us with “#GreatGigiGiveaway.” That’s it.  Good luck and let the #GreatGigiGiveaway begin!

The two new Summer 2012 colors, black stardust and steel-blue/gunmetal

 

Official Rules:

-Limit one (1) entry per Twitter account per day

-A valid entry consists of a single tweet directed at @SamEdelmanShoes including     “#GreatGigiGiveaway”

-Contest entry period starts April 9nd at 10:00 AM and ends April 13th at 6:00 PM

-One (1) winner each day of the contest. Total 5 winners.

-All entrants will be assigned a number based on their order of entry. Winner will be selected at random using random.org to determine the number associated with the winning entrant.

-The contest winner will be notified via direct message on Twitter. Winner will have 2 weeks (14 days) from the delivery of the direct message notifying that he or she has won the contest to respond in order to claim his or her prize.

-If each first entrant selected fails to claim prizes within the allocated 14 days, they will forfeit the prizes and a second drawing will be conducted in the same manner as the first with new winners being selected. All subsequent winners will receive the same 2 weeks (14 days) to claim their prizes. Process will repeat until prize is claimed.

-Each entrant selected as the contest winners (one per day) will be delivered a pair of the Sam Edelman Gigi sandal. The winners will be given an opportunity to select size and style, however limitations by availability do apply.

-Prize cannot be redeemed for cash or credit.
