Monday, September 27th, 2010Wardrobe Staple: Oxfords
Monday, September 27th, 2010The Menswear trend is more popular than ever this year, so why not take it beyond a tailored blazer with shoes from our Fall Collection? The “Kat” is a tapered feminine style that is just as essential as the classic button-down shirt. Add some glam to your look by opting for the “Kat” in black sequins or luxurious Brahma hair leopard print. Oxfords are a wardrobe staple and look great with skinny jeans or tights and a skirt for a night on the town. A bright lipstick shade and coat of mascara will be all you need to keep yourself looking fashionably chic.
Flat-out Fashion
Friday, September 24th, 2010Fashion Week in New York City saw colorful collections from the industry’s hottest designers including shades of turquoise, purple, gold, and red. But don’t wait for next spring to start wearing these hues, snag yourself a pair of our “Charleen” or “Calypso” flats and stay ahead of the trend! These ballet flat styles will keep you both stylish and comfortable and are the perfect shoes to wear with everything from skinny jeans to leggings and dresses. With hot colors and stud embellishments, both our “Charleen” and “Calypso” flats will have you strutting your stuff like you’re on a catwalk!
M·A·C Digi-Dazzle
Thursday, September 23rd, 2010Our shoes help put a sparkle in your stride, and MAC Cosmetics has a new limited-edition line of lipsticks to bring some razzle-dazzle to your pout. Appropriately named Digi-Dazzle, these glittery hues are brilliantly colored and pack enough glitter to make you the envy of any disco queen. We are loving the perfectly pink “Sweet Bits” and the deep plum shade of “Snazzy.” For double drama, pair with Sam Edelman “York” pumps and shine from head to toe.
OUTRACE Installation at London Design Festival
Monday, September 20th, 2010Have you always wanted to see your name in lights? Now is your chance! As part of London’s Design Festival, a special project titled OUTRACE will display personalized messages in 3D lighting graphics over Trafalgar Square using LED technology and eight industrial robots borrowed from Audi’s production line. We are loving this innovative use of technology and media, designed by Clemens Weisshaar and Reed Kram. Users from across the world can submit messages on the OUTRACE website to be displayed over the square in real time, and also uploaded to the web via HD cameras.
“Hipsters, Hustlers, and Handball Players”
Monday, September 13th, 2010We are loving the retro styles presented in “Hipsters, Hustlers, and Handball Players: Leon Levenstein’s New York Photographs, 1950–1980,” now on view at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. As one of the lesser-known masters of Street Photography, Leon Levenstein captures black-and-white images of unsuspecting strangers throughout NYC. From the streets of the East Village, the crowds of Times Square, to the shorelines of Coney Island, he captures raw, candid images of real people, in an effort relay a poetic view of ordinary people living everyday life. We spotted several platform heels and sandals in the collection that remind us of our own Sam Edelman collection in this great look at the evolution of NYC style.
We are Loving: Ultraflesh Panthera Mascara
Friday, September 10th, 2010Beauty brand Ultraflesh is debuting at Sephora this October, with a line of products that include their signature mascara, appropriately named Panthera. We are loving this breakthrough product, designed to provide a buildable, soft and natural look in a shade of black as true as the jungle cat, itself. Ultraflesh adds several key ingredients, including Procapil to promote lash growth, and Hydrolyzed silk and keratin for their nourishing and conditioning properties. Designed with a brush on one end and comb on the other, we can’t wait to get our hands on this “holy grail” of mascara.
